The Annual La Porte County Family YMCA Run takes place Saturday, March 23, at Soldiers Memorial Park in La Porte. The event includes a 10K run and a 5K run/walk.
The 10K run begins at 9 a.m. followed by the 5K run/walk at 9:15 a.m. Registration begins at 7:20 a.m. and concludes as 8:50 a.m. at Cummings Lodge. The course begins near Stone Lake beach and winds through scenic La Porte County.
The 10K competitive run has been sanctioned by the Calumet Region Striders as a Gold Cup Series race.
Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finisher and top overall Masters (over age 40) male and female finisher in both races. There will also be awards for the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Entry Fee: 10K $19 per Entry by March 16
$17 per Entry by March 16 (without t-Shirt)
$24 after March 16 (not guaranteed t-shirt)
5K $17 per Entry by March 16
$15 per Entry by March 16 (without t-Shirt)
$22 after March 16 (not guaranteed t-shirt)
Fees include a t-shirt (unless choosing the “without t-shirt” option), chip timing, race number and post-race snack.
Proceeds from this event help fund the Y’s Scholarship Campaign.
