Aerobics Classes

Y-Cycling (45 Mins) -- Come try the hottest group exercise format in the country!  Indoor group cycling is an exercise class on specifically-designed fixed-gear bicycles. These classes provide fun, camaraderie, sweat and lots of motivation! Our Spinning® certified instructors will guide you through an exciting and challenging workout. Because participants control their own intensity level, group cycling is great for people of any fitness level. If you are looking for a high energy, top-notch workout, Y-Cycling is the class for you. Get ready to pedal your way into shape!

Zumba (45 Mins) -- This high-energy class is a fusion of Latin and International music that combines unique dance moves to create a dynamic and exciting workout. It is a mixture of body-sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps that maximize fat burning and total body toning. Zumba is a “feel happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind.

Boot Camp  (60 Mins) -- Our Boot Camp is a 6 week sweatathon derived from exercises taken directly from military boot camp workouts.  Get ready to be pushed to new limits that will help you reach the fitness potential you have always desired!

Cardio Dance (45 Mins) -- Designed to burn calories with rhythmic moves using the large muscle groups of the body. This class is designed for simple, powerful, cardiovascular workout that anyone can do.

Total Strength (50 Mins) -- Get ready to tone, tighten and shape up using hand weights, elastice band tubing and exercise balls to strengthen your whole body.

Butt & Gut & More (60 Mins) -- This class targets the gluteal, abdominal and oblique muscle groups with exercise designed to firm and tone. Come moan and groan with us!

“Kick it Up ” Cardio (40 Mins) -- Participants can expect a high-energy, explosive cardio class that blends elements of
boxing, martial arts and traditional aerobics. Whether you are just getting started or are looking for the ultimate workout, this
class is for you as participants are encouraged to go at their own pace. Come check it out!

Pilates (60 Mins) -- This class improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone. Each exercise is designed to open
joints and improve breathing. Accommodates all levels of fitness. Don’t miss this incredible class!

Power Aerobics (60 Mins) -- Format includes power walking, low impact aerobics, step and floor work. Each day it
changes to keep your body guessing to deliver the maximum workout.

Powercut (45 Mins) -- This is an innovative way to train using barbells to the latest music. This powerful workout provides
total body conditioning.

Total Step (60 Mins) -- Pure step aerobics taught with the beginner in mind. Give it a try!

Yoga (60 Mins) -- Complete your fitness with mind/body work. Hatha Yoga is taught in a non-intimidating way. This class
calms, strengthens, improves balance, increases flexibility and aids the internal organs to work better.

Wellness Schedule

SilverSneakers Fitness Program® -- Our YMCA has one of the best attended SilverSneakers Fitness Programs® in the state. The program offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially-oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health. SilverSneakers members receive a free membership with access to conditioning classes, exercise equipment, pool, sauna and other available amenities, as well as access to any participating fitness center throughout the U.S. while traveling.

Day: Tuesday & Thursday (10:30-11:30am)

SilverSneakers II/Cardio Circuit -- Combine our fun and fitness to improve cardiovascular health and increase your muscle endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and ball are alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography.

Cost: FREE

Day: Friday (10:30-11:15am)

Kids Club Fitness (For Boys & Girls, Ages 6-12) -- In our continuing efforts to help children develop healthy lifestyles to last a lifetime, we will be offering the Kids Club Fitness program. The program consists of fun, non-competitive fitness circuit training combining strength and cardiovascular exercises in a structured supervised format. Kids Club Fitness is designed to allow each child to reach his/her optimum fitness level quickly and safely using hydraulic resistance which accommodates to the fitness level of each child. Hydraulic resistance is safe on joints and growing bones. Classes meet twice a week for a seven-week session. Supervised free time will also be available. MEMBERS ONLY!

Cost: $40/Session

Class Times - Monday & Wednesday (5:00-6:00pm)

Supervised Free Times - Mon & Wed (6:00-7:00pm); Tuesday & Thursday (5:00-7:00pm); Saturday & Sunday (3:00-5:00pm) Parent or guardian must accompany child to supervised free time but may use other amenities of the building during the open time.

Tae Kwon Do (For Adults and Children, Ages 6 and Up) -- This program is run by Black Belts Jerry and Mary Crosslin, who have conducted the YMCA’s martial arts program since 1993. Their outstanding Tae Kwon Do program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. (beginners) and 6 p.m. (advanced). Jerry and Mary have instructed the Korean art for over two decades. Jerry owns a 5th-Degree Black Belt and Mary has reached the rank of 3rd-Degree Black Belt. The program honors existing ranks and no contracts are required.

Cost: Members - $46/Session (All Ages) Non-Members - $88/Session (Age 18 & Under) & $104/session (Over 18)

Day: Tuesday & Thursday (5:00pm for beginners) (6:00pm for advanced)

Dance For Joy (For Boys & Girls, Ages 4-6) -- Classes will include strong basics of modern dance and ballet. They will also include special samples of other dance types, such as tap, jazz, hip hop, country line and many others. Class emphasis will be on experiencing the joy of movement. There will be informal recitals at the end of each session.

Cost: Member - $40/Session Non-Members - $78/Session

Day: Tuesday (4:30-5:15pm)

Seaweed/Tumbleweed (For Boys & Girls, Ages 1-3 ~ with parent) -- (NOT AVAILABLE DURING SUMMER SESSIONS) This is a great combination of Skipper swimming lessons followed by a Tumbling class. Each component is a half-hour long. The program, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Saturdays only, begins in the pool (9-9:30 a.m.) for games, songs, beginning instructional swim and safety. Then the activities move up to the gym (9:45-10:15 a.m.) for somersaults, animal walks, tunnels, trampolines and scooter boards. F-U-N!

Cost: Members - $40/Session (Tues/Thurs) & $37/Session (Sat) Non-Members - $78/Session (Tues/Thurs) & $74/Session (Sat)

Day: Tuesday & Thursday (9:00-10:15am) Saturday (9:00-10:15am)
