Wellness Classes

ZUMBA (45 minutes) — This high-energy class is a fusion of Latin and international music that combines unique dance moves to create a dynamic and exciting workout. It is a mixture of body-sculpting movements with easy-to-follow dance steps that maximizes fat burning and total body toning. Zumba is a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind.
DRUMS ALIVE® (60 minutes) — This class is different from every other workout you’ve tried before. It captures the essence of movement, rhythm and combines it with fun and delivers real fitness results. The choreographies are designed to burn fat, improve physical and mental fitness and above all, be fun! Drums Alive® is full of powerful and motivating music and drumming rhythms that will get your feet stomping and your body moving.
BODY SCULPTING (60 minutes) — Sculpt and tone your body using bands, balls, steps and weights.
BOOT CAMP (60 minutes) — Our Boot Camp is a total sweatathon! Get ready to be pushed to new limits that will help you reach the fitness potential you have always desired.
BUTT & GUT & MORE (60 minutes) — This class targets the gluteal, abdominal and oblique muscle groups with exercise designed to firm and tone. Come moan and groan with us!
CARDIO-DANCE (45 minutes) — Designed to burn calories with rhythmic moves using the large muscle groups of the body. This class is designed for a simple, powerful, cardiovascular workout that anyone can do!
HEAD TO TOE FITNESS (60 minutes) — Get the full package, with 20 minutes of Cardio, 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of stretching. If you want a great workout that will get you in shape from the inside out this class is for you!
HIP HOP (60 minutes) — This class teaches you all the popular moves and will have you bustin-a-move to the latest tunes in no time. If you enjoy dancing and want to burn calories doing it, this class is for you.
KICK IT UP CARDIO (40 minutes) — Participants can expect a high-energy, explosive cardio class that blends elements of boxing, martial arts and traditional aerobics. Whether you are just getting started or are looking for the ultimate workout, this class is for you as participants are encouraged to go at their own pace. Come check it out!
PILATES (60 minutes) — This class improves muscle control, flexibility, strength and tone. Each exercise is designed to open joints and improve breathing. Workout accommodates all levels of fitness. Don’t miss this incredible class!
POWER AEROBICS (60 minutes) — Format includes power walking, low impact aerobics, step and floor work. Each day it changes to keep your body guessing to deliver the maximum workout.
POWER CIRCUIT (60 minutes) — This dynamic full body workout alternates cardiovascular with muscular endurance stations to offer you the complete package. A variety of gadgets will be incorporated to make every session different, such as resistance bands, steps, free weights, barbells, medicine and balance balls.
POWERCUT (45 minutes) — This is an innovative way to train using barbells to the latest music. This powerful workout provides total body conditioning.
TOTAL STEP (60 minutes) — Pure step aerobics taught with the beginner in mind. Give it a try!
Y-CYCLING (45 minutes) — Come try the hottest group exercise format in the country! Indoor group cycling is an exercise class on specifically-designed fixed-gear bicycles. These classes provide fun, camaraderie, sweat and lots of motivation! Our Spinning® certified instructors will guide you through an exciting and challenging workout. Because participants control their own intensity level, group cycling is great for people of any fitness level. Get ready to pedal your way into shape!
YOGA (60 minutes) — Complete your fitness with mind/body work. Hatha Yoga is taught in a non-intimidating way. This class calms, strengthens, improves balance, increases flexibility and aids the internal organs to work better.
Personal Training
Whether your age 13 or 75, an experienced or beginning exerciser, our certified personal trainers can help you reach your health and fitness goals. Your trainer will develop a personalized program that is perfect for you and will support you with coaching and motivation to help you live, look and feel better.
Personal training is available for $30 per hour sessions. Packages of five sessions for $125 or 10 sessions for $250 are also available. All trainers are certified. Please pay for the session at the Member Services Desk and you will be called to schedule your appointment. Wear loose fitting clothes and athletic shoes.
Tae Kwon Do (For Adults & Children, Ages 6 and Up)
This program is run by Black Belts Jerry and Mary Crosslin, who have conducted the YMCA’s martial arts program since 1993. Their outstanding program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. (beginners) and 6 p.m. (advanced). Jerry and Mary have instructed the Korean art for over two decades. Jerry owns a 5th-Degree Black Belt and Mary has reached the rank of 3rd-Degree Black Belt. The program honors existing ranks and no contracts are required. The class meets from 5-6 p.m. for beginners or from 6-7 p.m. for advanced.
The fee is $46 for members or $88 for non-members under age 18 or $104 for non-members over 18.

Seaweed/Tumbleweed (For Boys & Girls, Ages 1-3 ~ with parent)
This is a great combination of Skipper swimming lessons followed by a Tumbling class. Each component is a half-hour long. The program, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Saturdays only, begins in the pool (9-9:30 a.m.) for games, songs, beginning instructional swim and safety. Then the activities move up to the gym (9:45-10:15 a.m.) for somersaults, animal walks, tunnels, trampolines and scooter boards. F-U-N!
The Tuesday/Thursday fee is $40 for members or $78 for non-members and the Saturday fee is $37 for members or $74 for non-members.

Home School Swim & Gym (For Boys & Girls, Ages 5-12)
This program provides the opportunity to get your child moving and enjoying physical activity. Children will have an open swim time under the supervision of trained lifeguards and then participate in organized games run by our Sports Department staff. The class meets on Thursdays and runs for seven weeks. Participants have open swim time from 1:35-2:20 p.m. and organized games in the gym run from 2:30-3:15 p.m.
The fee is $36 for members or $54 for non-members.
